(SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA) – Leo the Kool Kat, the celebrated star of cat artist Don Roth’s “Kool-Kat Kollection,” has finally married his true love in Roth’s latest piece, now on sale at www.Kool-Kats.com.
“There were a lot of requests for this painting,” Roth said. “I’m glad this one is finally in the collection.”
Fans finally got their wish with “Tropical Katrimony,” which shows Leo getting married to Lea, who has been featured in several paintings in the cat art collection.
Those who enjoy Roth’s work will appreciate this piece, which carries several inside references to previous cat paintings.
“The mouse emulates whatever the Kool-Kat is doing, so we have him and another mouse getting married. It’s a group wedding that way,” Roth said. “In the last five to six paintings in the series, I added dogs to the formula, so I thought it would be fun to have dogs and cats in the wedding ceremony.”
The “Kool-Kat” series has been seen on Princess and Carnival cruise ship auctions. Roth said he felt “Tropical Katrimony” would make the perfect gift for newlyweds or those celebrating an anniversary, especially if that celebration will be on the high seas.

When a person thinks of a family portrait, getting dressed up and heading out to a department store picture studio is what many people oftentimes expect.
